Our policies

Read these before you book. Each one starts from the same promise: you are covered, you choose the pressure, and you can stop.

Undressing and draping

You are covered by a sheet or towel the whole time. Only the part we are working on is uncovered, and it is covered again when we move on. Wear whatever you like to arrive in and undress only as far as you are comfortable; whatever you keep on, we work around.

Pressure, consent and stopping

Before we start we ask about pressure and any area you want us to avoid, and we check again in the middle and before the end. Tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer. You can pause, change position or end the session whenever you like, for any reason, and we stop right away.

Booking and deposits

Choose a length, a day and a therapist when you book. A card holds the time for a club or group session, and it goes toward your session. For a single session we take no deposit.

Canceling and running late

Please give us 24 hours to move or cancel a session, since your therapist has held that time. If you are running late, we shorten the session so the next person still starts on time. If you are ill or hurt, tell us and we will move your session without question.

If you miss an appointment

If you do not arrive and we cannot reach you, the session counts as a missed appointment. We would rather hear from you, so call or text and we will find another time, including a race-week slot that is hard to come by.

Children and companions

Massage is for adults. A child or a training partner may wait in the front room, but not in the treatment room during a session.

Oils, scents and allergies

We use an unscented oil or lotion unless you ask for a scent, and we can tell you every ingredient we use. Tell us about a nut or fragrance allergy when you book and we will use something else.

If you're not happy

If a session was not right, tell us within a few days and we will make it right.

Tipping

Tipping is optional and always appreciated. You can add it when you pay, or hand it to your therapist.

When to ask your doctor first

If you are hurt, unwell or pregnant, ask your doctor or midwife before you book, and tell your therapist when you arrive. We work with a doctor's go-ahead and we do not diagnose.
